philosophy
einfach is freedom.
i (forever2k38) have some fairly strong opinions on software. however, this shouldn't stop you from using what you like.
when initially bootstrapping einfach you pick everything. you pick your c compiler, your libc, your libc++ and your coreutils.
the only requirements are runit and pow!. adding support for more init systems adds more maintenance work. this requirement may be lifted in the future.
einfach does, however, have fairly opinionated defaults.
- musl as the default c standard library
- libc++ as the default libc++
- clang as the default compiler toolchain
- busybox as the default coreutils
some other masochist distro (maybe the name starts with a d?) lists all their replacements here. we don't. you can use software that sucks (GNU coreutils, GCC, glibc, etc) if you want to.
you use whatever you want. that's einfach.
